Eclaro International’s evolution has been continuous since the company’s founding in 1999. As supply chains and human capital requirements have changed, as has Eclaro International. Our most recent evolution has been the integration of a robust, dynamic and flexible global delivery center in the Philippines, which offers managed technology and business process delivery for several of our multinational clients, as well as recruitment process outsourcing and permanent placement support of our global customer’s in country and regional talent acquisition needs.
Our initial foray into the Philippines market was through a strategic joint venture with an in country provider. This relationship worked quite successfully for the first 3 or 4 years and then we started to experience some challenges with their commitment to consistent, reliable delivery to meet the demands of our Client. Despite frequent meetings and discussions of how to solve some of these issues, it was clear that this JV partner was trying to leverage their participation in this business venture to the detriment of Eclaro International and more importantly, to the detriment of a major Eclaro International Client. Through a strong, decade long mutually advantageous relationship with this Client, it was clear to this Client that Eclaro International’s commitment to their needs and their business was paramount and that the local partner was operating only in their self-interest.
It was clear that it was time for Eclaro International to open its own Philippines Delivery Center and to perform this work on its own. We created a six month plan with the Client to begin all new projects under this new Eclaro International Philippines (EIP) umbrella. EIP acquired all of the required local registrations, legal and financial advice, space, infrastructure and core staff and within three months were delivering direct services to this client, two other multinationals and had added a major contract with another client, which had been a US client for more than a decade to provide them with Staffing and recruiting support in the Philippines and greater Asia. In the last 18 months, we have hired over 150 resources in the Philippines.
We are delivering services to several Fortune 500 companies and small and midsized firms. This delivery center offers us the ability to further expand our relationships with our current forty-six Fortune 500 clients across the globe [Eclaro International has offered services in Canada since 2006 and is also opening a Caribbean delivery center in 2012]. We look forward to our continued “evolution” with the support and advice of our clients and great organizations such as the NMSDC.
